Consumer Referral Program Terms and Conditions

Overview
By participating in the ChipedIn’s consumer referral program (the “Referral Program”), you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Referral Terms”), which are in addition and subject to the ChipedIn Referral Program , Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service. If you do not agree to the Referral Terms, please do not participate in the Referral Program. ChipedIn reserves the right to change these Referral Terms at any time, and any updated version of the Referral Terms will be posted at https://www.chipedin.com/about/referralterms/. Your continued participation in the Referral Program after ChipedIn has posted an updated version of the Referral Terms constitutes your agreement to the updated version, and the updated version will be effective as of the time of posting or on such later date as may be specified in the updated version. In addition, ChipedIn reserves the right to (1) modify or terminate the Referral Program at any time and in any manner without notice to you, in whole or in part; and (2) remove you from the Referral Program if ChipedIn suspects you have engaged in fraudulent activity or determines, in its sole discretion, that you have abused the Referral Program or violated these Referral Terms or any other applicable agreement between you and ChipedIn . “ChipedIn ” means ChipedIn , Inc., a Delaware corporation, and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies. “You” means a Referrer or New User, as defined below.
The Referral Program governs how a currently registered user of the ChipedIn platform in good standing (a “Referrer”) can receive ChipedIn credit (“Referral Credit”) by referring a friend, family, or community member to register as a new user of the ChipedIn platform and meet certain other requirements (a “New User”), as more fully described below. The Referral Program is only available to users of the ChipedIn platform.
Referrers
A Referrer will receive Referral Credit for each “Qualified Referral,” which occurs when all of the following conditions are met:
- The Referrer provides the Referrer’s unique referral code or link (the “Referral Code”) directly to the New User through email, text, social networks, or the Share Your Link option.
- The New User (a) registers on the ChipedIn platform using the Referral Code provided to the New User by the Referrer in the designated referral code section; and (b) meets the offer requirements set forth in the Referral Code, which typically includes the new user to add a gift to their wish list and have it fully funded by their contributors. Note that receiving partial contributions do not qualify and the item needs to be fully funded, purchased by ChipedIn, and gift successfully received by new user to deem as a qualified referral.
- At the time of registration on the ChipedIn platform, the New User must be located in the United States, just like the Referrer.
- The New User has not previously registered on the ChipedIn platform.
- The New User and Referrer are not the same person.
- ChipedIn does not suspect that the Referrer or the New User have engaged in fraudulent activity.
If ChipedIn determines, in its sole discretion, that any of the above conditions have not been met and the Referrer has already received Referral Credit, ChipedIn reserves the right to revoke such Referral Credit.
Referral Rewards Program
As a Referrer, you’ll earn the following Referral credits to your account balance for each Qualified Referral:
- First Gift: Receive 10% of the new user’s item price from their first fully funded gift.
- Future Gifts: Receive 5% of the new user’s item price from any fully funded gift thereafter.
- Referral Code Validity: Your referral code is valid for 6 months from the start of the referral program.
Credits will be converted monthly into store credit, which can be used towards any gift on the platform.
For clarity, the item price refers to the purchase amount excluding taxes, shipping, shopper’s fee, and processing fee. Referral credit applies to the first fully funded gift at 10%, and 5% for any fully funded gifts thereafter. The amount of Referral Credit earned for each Qualified Referral may vary and will be reflected in the Referrer’s ChipedIn account balance.
Note: If a new user’s item is only partially funded by the end of the 6-month referral period, it will not qualify for Referral Credit.
A Referrer will not receive Referral Credit, or Referral Credit may be revoked, if ChipedIn determines, in its sole discretion, that:
- Any Qualified Referral condition set forth above has not been met;
- The Referrer posted the Referral Code on a publicly accessible website that prohibits the action of sharing referral codes.
- The Referral Credit was received in connection with a New User who has previously created a ChipedIn account, even if such other account was created using a different email address, phone number, or other information; or
- The Referral Credit was received erroneously, fraudulently, illegally, or in violation of these Referral Terms or any other applicable agreement between you and ChipedIn .
Referral Credits are subject to the ChipedIn Referral Program, as applicable.
New Users
A New User who registers on the ChipedIn platform using a Referral Code will be eligible for the offer stated in the Referral Code as long as ChipedIn determines, in its sole discretion, that all of the following conditions are met:
- The New User meets the requirements stated in the offer and the offer has not expired, if applicable.
- The New User enters the referral code in the designated referral code section only during initial registration.
- ChipedIn does not suspect that the New User has engaged in fraudulent activity.
- The Referrer’s ChipedIn account is active and ChipedIn does not suspect that the Referrer has engaged in fraudulent activity.
- All of the Qualified Referral conditions set forth above have been met.
Eligibility for the New User’s offer will be determined when applying referral code during registration.
